Pick up a 33x33x27 cm cube to a height of between 106 and 183 cm

Limitations

  1. The initial height should be maximum 130 cm
  2. The system should be a low weight as much as possible
  3. The system should pick up another system (weighing 4 KG) only part of the time
  4. The system should pick up another system (weighing 5 KG) all the time

General description

● Balanced center of gravity.
● Custom Laser cut and CNC
manufactured parts.
● Three stage cascade lift.
● Lift pulled by steel cables on a winch
(4’’ in diameter).
● Powered by two 775pro motors with 1:50
reduction.
● Extra cables connecting the winch to a
shaft at the bottom of the robot.
● Bearings support the lift in 4 directions in
several locations, encased in custom
designed and manufactured CNC parts.
● Laser cut triangles for support connected
by 5 attachment points to the chassis.
● Disc brake mechanism.
● The first level of the lift is reinforced by an
aluminium plate 5mm thick, bent on both
sides.
● A mechanical stopper restricts the third
level of the lift in order to prevent early
deployment of the climbing mechanism.
